This weekend seemed to herald the onset of spring after what has seemed like a very long winter. It felt so good to soak up the sun, listen to the birds singing and to spend time sitting outside in the garden with my Kindle for company.
I am quite formulaic when it comes to my personal style and I love to wear skinny jeans with heels, a plain top and a blazer or duster coat. Simple outfits are what I feel comfortable in and I usually wear jeans most of the time, apart from evenings out when I love to wear dresses.
One accessory which has really added to my spring wardrobe is my new Daniel Wellington Classic Petite*. I like the fact that this watch is both stylish and understated and I love the rose gold mesh strap and black dial.

This outfit is the type of look I love to throw on because it looks presentable while still feeling casual enough to wear during the day. I love this Primark blazer as the sharp cut and the buttons give it a vaguely military feel. I paired this with skinny jeans which have the raw hem detail which seems to be everywhere now and a little insect detail box bag which I also purchased from Primark recently. I like the way the gold details of the bag and the watch pair well together and this outfit was polished but also laid back, ideal for a quick weekend shopping trip.
I went out for a while on Saturday but apart from finishing some work, this weekend was mainly about relaxation. I have been rushing around a lot lately and life has been so busy, so it was a real pleasure to spend a weekend in the countryside with my family.
The Classic Petite has a smaller 32mm dial and it is available with silver or rose gold strap with either white or black dial.
What do you like the most about spring and do you think the new Daniel Wellington Classic Petite adds to a simple outfit? As always I cannot wait to hear your thoughts and thank you so much for reading this post.
Until next time,
