I love blogging because I love to take photographs and I have always loved writing! It is amazing to be able to combine my obsessions with fashion, beauty and of course food in such a rewarding way.
A few people have asked me for advice lately about university I personally did a BA Joint Honours Degree in French and German at the University of Leeds. I was able to study in both France and Germany as a part of the course, and living and studying abroad was such an amazing experience and one which I would say gave me a sense of self confidence which I had always lacked previously. Yes, it was scary and overwhelming at times, but now I look back on my time at Leeds University with nothing but fondness and nostalgia.
Afer graduation, I went on to do a Masters Degree in Advanced French Language Studies at Liverpool John Moores University. This gave me the extra edge I needed to be able to work as a freelance French translator, and I would say to anybody toying with the idea of doing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree that it is definitely a worthwhile investment for your future career. Having said that, university is not for everybody and never let anybody pressure you...ultimately it is your life and thus your decision as to whether or not you go to university.
I recently went to Amici Coffee Shop in West Kirby, Wirral for the first time (4 Acacia Grove, West Kirby, Wirral).

Blogging is something that I find really relaxing too, and it is nice to have that balance in life because my everyday work as a translator is quite stressful and the blog gives me a focus outside of work which is really enjoyable.
Simple outfit: All from Primark except for the sandals which are from New Look.

This wall at Amici Coffee Shop really resonates with me...the words are so very true.
Pretty flowers at Hoylake train station, Wirral.
Outside Amici in West Kirby, Wirral.

As everybody may have guessed (!) I do love Starbucks, but it is important to support your local neighbourhood coffee shops too and this one is lovely.
It is spacious and light inside, with an array of seating including comfy sofas. There was an enticing array of homemade cakes on offer, including Malteser Tiffin, Lemon Cake and Oreo Cake (which I opted for). My friend and I sat outside at a lovely table with a basket of flowers on it. We had a cappuccino and a latte respectively and I also had cake which my friend amazingly managed to resist (props to her willpower!)

The coffees and the cake were all delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.. There is also an impressive food menu, which I will definitely be trying soon!
