Hop in my holy ghost, hallelujah...

Hi everybody, I hope you are well and thank you so much for all your wonderful comments and feedback on my last post. When I first started this blog,  I genuinely never thought that it would turn into something so rewarding. Every day I am delighted and humbled to read all the wonderful comments waiting for me when I switch on my laptop, and it truly makes the whole experience so enjoyable.
I love blogging because I love to take photographs and I have always loved writing! It is amazing to be able to combine my obsessions with fashion, beauty and of course food in such a rewarding way.
Blogging is something that I find really relaxing too, and it is nice to have that balance in life because my everyday work as a translator is quite stressful and the blog gives me a focus outside of work which is really enjoyable.

Simple outfit: All from Primark except for the sandals which are from New Look.

A few people have asked me for advice lately about university I personally did a BA Joint Honours Degree in French and German at the University of Leeds. I was able to study in both France and Germany as a part of the course, and living and studying abroad was such an amazing experience and one which I would say gave me a sense of self confidence which I had always lacked previously. Yes, it was scary and overwhelming at times, but now I look back on my time at Leeds University with nothing but fondness and nostalgia.
Afer graduation, I went on to do a Masters Degree in Advanced French Language Studies at Liverpool John Moores University. This gave me the extra edge I needed to be able to work as a freelance French translator, and I would say to anybody toying with the idea of doing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree that it is definitely a worthwhile investment for your future career. Having said that, university is not for everybody and never let anybody pressure you...ultimately it is your life and thus your decision as to whether or not you go to university.

This wall at Amici Coffee Shop really resonates with me...the words are so very true.

Pretty flowers at Hoylake train station, Wirral.
Outside Amici in West Kirby, Wirral.
Latte and a slice of delicious Oreo cake!

I recently went to Amici Coffee Shop in West Kirby, Wirral for the first time (4 Acacia Grove, West Kirby, Wirral).
As everybody may have guessed (!) I do love Starbucks, but it is important to support your local neighbourhood coffee shops too and this one is lovely.
It is spacious and light inside, with an array of seating including comfy sofas. There was an enticing array of homemade cakes on offer, including Malteser Tiffin, Lemon Cake and Oreo Cake (which I opted for). My friend and I sat outside at a lovely table with a basket of flowers on it. We had a cappuccino and a latte respectively and I also had cake which my friend amazingly managed to resist (props to her willpower!)
The coffees and the cake were all delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.. There is also an impressive food menu, which I will definitely be trying soon!
Today's essentials: My new Toshiba Laptop, Topshop Cream Blush in Neon Rose, Collection Lipstick in shade 6 'Bubblegum' and Collection Colour Pro Intense Colour Lip Lacquer in 'Prom Queen'

A simple make up look of the day using some of the products above.  Seriously guys, how did I ever live without Collection Lipstick in Bubblegum?! :)

So, that is it from me for the time being but I will be back soon to catch up with all of you lovely readers. Thank you so much for commenting and/or following my blog. I love reading all of your comments and I follow back my followers. Simply leave your links and I will check out and follow all of you. Thank you so much!

Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry...

Hi everyone, I hope you are all ok! Well, once again this week has just flown by and I have been busy with so much stuff going on...I will gloss over the boring work parts here and just concentrate on the fun parts. I have done a few bits and bobs over the past few days which merit a mention here. I haven't really had a week where I felt like making much of an effort with my outfits (lazy bones!) so I just wore that same H&M maxi dress from the previous post, with the addition of a new bag from good old Primark on some days and jeans and t-shirt on other days, as pictured below.
Naturally, I have been eating way too much good food as usual...pizza by the sea one night and a lovely salad at our local bar another night. Yum, but not too healthy...oh well. You only live once and I love my food and drink!
There have been a few awesome sunsets lately too and the night sky has been especially clear...I am sitting out on the garden writing this post and even though it is 11.30pm it is so light. The stars and the moon are especially brilliant tonight too and I just love sitting outside when the nights are warm and the air is fragrant with the scent of the nearby pine trees.
Please recommend some good music for me to listen to guys, I love a really eclectic mix from The Game (who I saw live in Manchester this spring), Tupac, Lil' Wayne and Drake to James Blunt and of course Coldplay... The Game's album 'Jesus Piece' is all I listen to at the moment! I just love rap.
 Garlic bread with Mozzarella
A delicious Italian Platter at our local bar, The Wro.
 Caesar Salad.
A delicious meal and a lovely night as usual at my favourite local bar/restaurant

Everything Primark, I especially love this long cardigan. It only cost £8 but it feels so soft and it looks like something from Topshop or Forever 21. I had to buy the darker grey one too, because it was so chic and inexpensive!

 Everything Primark.
Blogging in the garden.

Higher than heaven's arms...

 Dress- H&M
Sandals- Primark
Bag -Marc B at Topshop
A quick note about  my hair, after so many kind comments and questions here on the blog. I use a L'Oreal Wild Ombre Intense kit to achieve my Ombre hair. The kit is very easy to use and it only takes an hour to colour your hair with it.

I am loving dark, berry coloured lipsticks at the moment. The one I am wearing above is the shade 1 'Seduction' by Collection cosmetics.

Something about this lipstick makes me want to blow kisses!

Dinner at Gusto Restaurant in Heswall.

Garlic Pizza Bread with Mozzarella.
Pizza Margherita, Quattro Formaggi Pizza and hand cut fries.

Hi everybody. I hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather here was a strange mixture of sunshine and storms. I went shopping on both Saturday and Sunday, which was a very bad idea. There are just so many gorgeous clothes to buy at the moment. Oh well, what's a girl to do? A little retail therapy never hurt anybody...! This outfit is what I wore out to dinner on Sunday evening. I got the dress at H&M for £20. Total bargain because it is very well cut and it looks much more expensive when pared down with minimal accessories.
The weekend flew by far too quickly as usual and I went out to dinner on Sunday evening to one of my favourite places, Gusto Restaurant in Heswall. The dinner certainly helped to cheer me up despite the fact that the weekend was almost over!
My companion and I shared a Garlic and Mozzarella Pizza Bread for our starter, then I had a Pizza Margherita and he had a Quattro Formaggi Pizza for the main course. We had a side of fries and the whole meal was delicious, washed down with a crisp glass of Pinot Grigio Blush. We did not have dessert on this occasion, but I have tried both the Nutella Calzone and the Hazlenut Brownie before, and they were amazing! The service is impeccable and the restaurant is decorated in a simple and elegant manner, with black and white photographs on the wall, booths with leather seats and indoor trees covered with fairy lights.  It is such an elegant place to go out to and the prices are very reasonable for such a wonderful dining experience.
It was a perfect way to round of the weekend!

What did you all do this weekend? I love reading your comments and I follow back my followers. I am so grateful to every one of my lovely readers, I never thought blogging would turn out to be so fun and rewarding!
Until next time :)

You held my hand...

Hi lovelies, I just wanted to do a quick outfit post and check in with all of you. I hope you have been ok this week, time has flown by once again. I can't believe that we are now in the month of June already!  There are so many gorgeous summer clothes in the shops now, it is hard to resist buying new things everyday. I am really loving all the playsuits that are around at the moment, and of course you all know that I am obsessed with maxi dresses! I really want a colour pop clutch bag too, I have seen some yellow ones and some blue ones in the shops that have caught my eye. There are some really nice bags in Primark at the moment and also Accessorize.
I  threw on this very simple outfit to go out for a bite to eat with a good friend this week. It is so nice to go out for lunch to a nice place and it feels like an extra special treat to go on a weekday! Here is what I wore. I was going for a laid-back yet chic style, so I opted for a simple t-shirt and jeans combination.
I was tagged by the lovely Sarah Lizabeth over at www.coloursofautumn.com to do the five product face tag, so the details of that are below too! I will catch up with you all again soon and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead. Let me know how you all are in the comments, I love reading your comments and I follow back my followers. Until next time!

Only a wolf when the moon hits...

Hi everyone, sorry it has been a while again. I love to catch up with you all and share my latest outfits and what I have been up to. Things have been a little hectic over the last week because there were a few busy days with work and then on Friday, my cousin came to visit for the weekend with her two children.
We had a lovely weekend and our feet never touched the ground! They stayed at a hotel in Liverpool, so we were travelling back and forth between there and my home in the Wirral. We ate lots of amazing food over the weekend, including Nando's, a meal at our local pub and fish and chips by the sea. Why do fish and chips taste so good when eaten by the sea? I am not sure, but they do!
There was a lot of fun, sightseeing at the Albert Dock and on the Liverpool Wheel, shopping and having fun. I was so sad when they had to leave, but hopefully I will go to visit them in Yorkshire soon! Today was a lazy Sunday, a sleep-in this morning followed by grocery shopping then a picnic at the water with a little Rioja!
I hope you are all doing good and I love to read all of your sweet comments! I follow back my followers, just leave your blog links sweeties. I wish you all a great week!
