I'm in the glass house having nasty dreams...

Hi everyone, how are you all? I hope that you had a good weekend, as usual it flew by so quickly and here we are on Monday again already!
So, I did a few bits and pieces over the weekend worthy of a mention here, but let's start off with the important part, my outfit...! Here is what I wore on Sunday, for a spot of shopping and an impromptu picnic by the water (Mediterranean bread, cheese, houmous, tortilla chips and crackers...be still my beating cholesterol, lol.)
You may be thinking that I am not the most sensible person to wear white for a picnic, but I actually had my faithful slouchy grey Primark cardigan on for the picnic part and I only threw the coat on to look glam for shopping and outfit photos. Yes guys, #bloggerproblems. You feel me?! ;) Besides, I couldn't let the fear of messing up my white coat come between me and the joys of caramelised onion houmous!

Literally everything above from Primark. I know, I know...I am OB-FREAKING-SESSED!

So, is it just me or were Sunday's just made for picnics? A perfect view of the water, several edible treats and I was happy. I have not felt very relaxed lately, so I really appreciate the feeling of just being totally chilled-out and living in the moment.

The array of picnic food ;P
Wensleydale cheese with cranberries, oh my goodness I just adore this!

Normandy Camembert :)

 A catamaran.

Cute rowing boats.

 The lifeguard.

I also went to Hotel Chocolat in Liverpool One recently, I was having day when I just needed something to cheer me up, and we all know the restorative powers of chocolate. Sometimes, a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk is enough, but at other times something a bit more special is called for. I had never ventured in to Hotel Chocolat before and what a world of chocolate-based pleasure it is! There is a cafe in there too where you can have all types of amazing treats! I resisted this time and just left with a modest bar of Rocky Road, after being given delicious free champagne truffles to sample by the kind assistant.

Paradise!

What is there to say other than this chocolate was so good!

I also recently bought a statement necklace from Primark, you can see that I am wearing it in the outfit pictures above. I absolutely love it and I think for £8 it was an absolute bargain because it looks like something which would cost much more in Zara or Topshop. The detailing on it is very pretty and it really adds another dimension to a plain outfit. It is from their Limited Edition range, so it is worthwhile snapping it up soon if you want one :)

 Necklace £8 Primark.

The next stop was Superdrug, all I went in for was toothpaste, so of course I came out with three make up products...you know how it is! I bought the MUA blush in 'Candyfloss' Maybelline the colossal volume cat eyes mascara in 'Black' and a Maybelline Colour Elixir Lip Lacquer in 'Petal Plush'

A little haul never hurt anybody ;)

Shopping again...!

So, after a weekend of delicious food, I went for a long walk on Sunday evening. I put my headphones on and just enjoyed the view. I have spoken before about this, but I honestly love walking so much especially during times of stress or not feeling great. I always feel so much better and more focused after a long walk. There was a beautiful sunset and here are a couple of pictures I took:

So that is all for now lovely readers, what did you all do this weekend? I wish you a good week ahead! Remember, I love to read your sweet comments and I follow back my followers.

Until next time,

They got nothing on you...

Hi everyone, how are you all? I confess that there is a tiny bit of laziness going on with this particular 'outfit of the day', because in a case of sheer wardrobe fatigue, I just threw on the same outfit as featured in my last post for a trip to the city.
The only difference was that I also added this (frankly amaze-balls) chunky grey cardigan that I purchased recently from...drum-roll...Primark. I know, I bet you all just fainted with shock that I would go to Primark again...! Anyway, moving on from the shock of me going shopping there again, I was delighted because I had my eye on a cardigan like this ages ago in H&M and it had sold out, then I walked into Primark and there was this one. It was everything a cardigan should be in my view...long, chunky and slightly 'Mary-Kate Olsen' in terms of being way over-sized!
So, one impressive sprint to the checkout later, the cardigan of perfection became mine. Expect to become bored of seeing it here very soon ;)
Seriously, just allow me a moment to rave on about how perfect most of the clothes in Primark are at the moment! Enough? Ok ;) I really like layering an outfit too, and I think the different proportions of the cardigan with the kimono underneath looks kinda interesting.

Shoes, cardigan and top: Primark
Kimono: (underneath cardigan) H&M
Skirt: H&M
Bag: Forever 21

Simple look of the day make-up wise. I use Rimmel wake me up foundation, (shade True Ivory) Maybelline the colossal volume cat eyes mascara (black) and Collection lipstick in shade 6, Bubblegum as the key elements of this look.

I have spoken before here about how important it is to do things which you enjoy in life. I really enjoy learning and perfecting my French, even though I have a BA Joint Hons Degree in French and German (University of Leeds represent!) and an MA in Advanced Language Studies with French (Liverpool John Moores University represent!) I still don't think that you ever stop learning a language, so every week I attend a two hour french group where we converse in French and do set tasks and homework.
My friend Claire teaches the group, so it is a pleasure to go along and it is also a great way to meet people. I find it really difficult to meet people, as I am fairly shy, so going to French group is really beneficial to me. I would strongly recommend joining a group like this when you want to meet new people. Not necessarily learning a language, but doing something that you enjoy, whether that is yoga, meditation, art or creative writing....you get the idea!
After the French group, we headed out to lunch at  The Green Lodge Hotel in Hoylake. The food was lovely, the portions were enormous and the prices were reasonable. As you all know by now, going out to lunch is my favourite thing ever and as usual, we had a good gossip and a sneaky glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc!

French Group is so much fun :)

We shared a platter as our starter. There was garlic bread, chicken, potato wedges, onion rings and mushrooms. It was delicious!

I had a Macaroni Cheese Burger. It was so delicious, creamy macaroni cheese encased in breadcrumbs. What is this sorcery?! One word, yum!

My friend had a cheeseburger with bacon. She said it was lovely :)

A few other things I have been loving this week are featured below. I have been enjoying going on long walks alone with my headphones on (Skullcandy!) and a bit of Drake, Eminem, Lil' Wayne or Kanye West to keep me company!

Where I like to walk :)

The beautiful view of Hilbre Island, West Kirby, Wirral. I love the sea air and I also love to hear the curlews. There is a fallen tree which has been there for years, where I always sit and just look at the view in perfect solitude. It really helps me to have time alone just to think.

Remember the Gel-effect nail polish I raved on about from Primark? Well, this time I bought the green shade. It gives a lovely finish and it only costs £1!

Lunch in Starbucks...are you even surprised?! ;)

So, that's all for now lovely readers. What have you been up to this week and do you have any plans for the weekend?  Remember, I love to read your sweet comments and I follow back my followers :)
Until next time,

Just forget the world...

Hi everyone, I do hope that you have all had a lovely weekend. I have been doing some fun things which I thought I would share with you here as usual. Here is my (all black, sorry...!) outfit which I wore in Liverpool on Sunday. I was so tired on Sunday morning that I just did not want to get up, but it was a lovely, sunny day, so I am glad that I eventually managed to get myself out of  bed and make myself look a bit more human! Two cups of coffee later, I even managed to get out of my pajamas....!

I went out for a curry on Saturday night which was delicious and it is something that I have not done for quite a while. I went to the same place as last time, The Shuhel Balti in West Kirby, Wirral. I had Onion Bhaji followed by King Prawn Tikka Masala with Pilau Rice and Naan Bread. We also tried a Peshwari Naan bread, which was delicious and topped with coconut. There was so much food that we felt really greedy, but it was a lovely meal and very enjoyable! The restaurant allows you to bring your own drinks, so we opted for a bottle of Pinot Grigio and some mineral water.

An orchestra were performing in Liverpool One on Sunday :)

Sunday relaxation : Starbucks and the Independent Newspaper.

I popped into Primark again on Sunday (yes, I know, again...!) and saw some cute Autumn/Winter fashion to share with you.
Hat £8. I love the wine colour of this. Very Autumnal :)
Not sure it suited me though, so I did not buy it ;)

Bag £10. This satchel looks very Mulberry-esque :)

Skirt £8. I love the mesh panel on this skirt. Sexy yet subtle :)

Coat £25. This coat is so versatile, stylish and warm, all for a bargain price. *No readers, I do not work for Primark, give me a PR job people ;) joking...sort of*

The mustard coloured version. Oh my goodness you guys, I love this coat...not sure I could rock it with my ombre hair though. What do you all think?! P.S. I love the way they styled it here, with black leather effect trousers, plain black top and a gold necklace. *heart-eyes!*

Kimono £8. This is the ideal transitional kimono for Autumn. Throw it over a t-shirt with skinny jeans, a satchel and a fedora and you will look so 'throwback Nicole Richie' ;) The detailing and fringing are so pretty!

After that, it was a quick browse in Waterstones. I could easily spend thousands of pounds in there...I love books so much. I love Kindles too, but my oh my, nothing beats the pleasures of a 'real' book :)

It was a beautiful, sunny day in Liverpool on Sunday :)

So, that's all folks! What did you lovely people get up to this weekend? Remember, I love to read your comments and I follow back my followers.

Until next time,
