Outfit of the day: A dash of cream

Kimono cardigan and Jeans- Primark. Top-Zara. Bag and Sunglasses- Forever 21. Ballet flats-River Island.
Lipstick: Collection lipstick in Bubblegum. I had to mention this because it is the perfect pastel pink for spring!

I got this fringed cream kimono cardigan from Primark a few weeks ago. It was £14 which seemed a great price for something so lovely. At the time it was too cold in the UK to wear it but now that Spring is finally here, I thought I would wear it at last. It is such a pretty cardigan, that it does not really need to be dressed up. Saying that, it would also look nice with a printed maxi dress and heels in the summer. For the moment though, I just threw it on with a basic black vest from Zara and a pair of my favourite grey Primark jeans (style: super high waist skinny). These jeans are literally so great, they come in numerous colour washes, they fit really well and they cost only £10! My new Forever 21 chain handle bag and a pair of black ballet flats finished the look. Oh and of course my beloved Forever 21 sunglasses which I wear everyday at the moment!

Haul: Skincare, haircare and treats!

Batiste floral edition dry shampoo-Most of us girls know the wonders of dry shampoo to revive hair and give it some volume between washes. Batiste dry shampoo is literally my hair saviour, even when my hair looks greasy this manages to make it silky and gives it great volume. Plus this floral edition has a lovely scent and pretty packaging!

Nivea Irresistibly Smooth Body Lotion-
This is a real miracle worker for dry skin and it has a very nice scent plus it absorbs straight into the skin without leaving a residue and it leaves skin feeling silky soft.

Sure Fragrance Collection Deodorant in Radiant-
It might seem boring to include a deodorant in a haul, but I love the scent of these Sure ones. They have very pretty floral scents and they keep you feeling fresh and confident all day. The Radiant one is my favourite but I also love the Bright one (which comes in a pink and white bottle).

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in Bubblegum- This is a perfect pastel pink for spring and summer, plus it has really good pigmentation and it lasts for a long time and it cost £3 so even though the quality is equivalent to a MAC lipstick, it costs much less!

Sanctuary Spa Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser- This is amazing when your skin needs a deep cleansing treat. I love hot cloth cleansers and of course I've tried the Liz Earle one which is very good but this is much cheaper and still does a good job. Superdrug do a Vitamin E one which is very inexpensive, and I love that too. (Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser £4.99 for 200ml)

Nivea Soft- I adore this, it sinks straight into the skin and it has a nice scent. Also you can use it on your body as well as your face.

Nivea Original-Such a skincare classic, it is inexpensive and works wonders on dry skin. Just amazing.

Nivea Gentle Exfoliating Scrub- This is gentle enough to use regularly. It leaves skin soft and it has a refreshing scent.

Simple Kind To Skin Facial Cleansing Wipes- Some of the best facial wipes I have tried and they remove every trace of make up without drying your skin out.

Vogue magazine- Always a good buy.

Paris by Edward Rutherford- An amazingly well written and evocative novel.

Lipton Mango Iced Tea- I am addicted to this, it is so refreshing!

Lindt Cookies and Cream and Strawberry Cheesecake chocolate bars- These are beyond amazing and a girl needs a little chocolate once in a while!

Outfit of the day: Kimono love

This pink floral Primark kimono has been such an amazing buy. I got it last summer and I have worn it countless times. It is really pretty due to the fringe detailing and the embroidered floral design on the back. It only cost £15 so it was definitely a worthwhile investment. It's too chilly in England at the moment to go out without a jacket, so I would definitely throw on my favourite faux-leather biker jacket to complete this look.

Mini Primark Haul

Nowhere beats Primark for basic items such as simple t-shirts and skinny jeans. They also excel at more fashion forward items such as jumpsuits and maxi dresses, but I think for basics they are unbeatable. I went in yesterday and picked up a couple of simple tops, each of which cost about the same as a trip to Starbucks, so you can't really say fairer than that! I also tried on the two jumpsuits seen below. They were priced around £15. The tribal print one would be nice for summer with wedge sandals and a simple clutch and I loved the navy one as it looked very chic to wear out for drinks or to  dinner. However, I did not buy those...yet! I also included a picture of the window display at Topshop just because I thought it looked pretty!

Ombré hair don't care

L'Oréal wild ombré intense. This is what I use to colour my hair. I find this product very easy to use and it only takes one hour for application and development. It is a very reasonably priced kit (around £7) and it is so easy to use with clear instructions. The kit contains everything you need to achieve vibrant ombré hair at home, including the brush for application and the conditioning shampoo for use when you have rinsed the dye out. This kit is designed for a more intense result, I have tried the normal ombré kit and I would say that this one achieves a much more intense effect and lasts for much longer without fading.
The one downside to this product is that it can leave your hair feeling very dry, which is understandable since you are effectively bleaching you hair. When you have rinsed the dye off thoroughly with warm water, use the conditioning shampoo provided in the kit. Lather it through all of your hair, then when you have rinsed it out, apply a deep conditioning treatment to your hair such as Tresemmé Restructuring Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque. Leave on for a good 5-10 minutes so that the conditioner really gets to work it's way into your hair, then rinse out. I always give my hair a final rinse in cold water too, as it prevents frizz and really seals the conditioner into the hair. Towel dry and then apply a small amount of serum whilst your hair is still damp (such as John Frieda Frizz Ease) then blow dry as normal for lovely sleek, ombré hair!

Ombré hair kits are available at most Superdrug and Boots stores as well as at supermarkets.

Nirvana

I bought this Nirvana t-shirt recently in Primark. I like it because they were an amazing band and it is a fun and young item to have in your wardrobe. The long rose print kimono was something I bought lately at Forever 21, I thought it was such a pretty and boho item. It's hard to describe my style as some days I like to be a bit 'rock' wearing a band t-shirt, other days I like to dress a bit more 'boho' wearing a tassled kimono and other times I like to wear a more grown-up style in a simple blouse and jeans.

Said you'll never give away your heart again...

I bought this white shirt from Primark yesterday, it is the white version of the pink one I wore in my last outfit of the day and once again I can't sing the praises of these tops enough. They are just so well  cut and they appear much more expensive than the actual cost of £10. Obviously other shoppers agree as they were only two left in my local store . I bought a black one too which I think  will be nice to wear on nights out with jeans and heels. Excuse the cardinal sin of wearing black underwear beneath a white blouse, I just was not thinking!

Pink Mood

This blouse was something I bought recently in Primark. Even though it only cost £10, it looks almost designer because it is very floaty and the fabric is good quality. It is very versatile and it looks good with jeans, a skirt or in this case my trusty faux leather leggings. Top and leggings Primark. Bag Marc B at Topshop.

Waking up is never easy!

It's been a while but I'm back. I hope you like this latest face of the day and essentials post! I have been using this Nivea  Regenerating Night Cream for a while now and it is genuinely one of the best moisturizers ever. It sinks in so quickly and it has a lovely refreshing feeling too. I use it day and night rather than just at night, and I have noticed a great improvement to my dry skin. My other essentials in the morning are:
Berocca soluble vitamins-I can't live without these, they make me feel as though I have more energy as soon as I drink them. Maybelline the colossal volume cat eyes mascara, this is the best mascara I have ever used. Two coats makes my eyes look wide awake and it lengthens my lashes incredibly. Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is my favourite foundation because the tiny particles of shimmer make my skin look more luminous. I usually mix it with a little Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch as I find this makes my skin even more radiant. I sweep 17 Instant Glow Bronzer on my cheeks, then I add a slick of pink lipstick and I feel almost human!
